When vehicle speed exceeds 100 km/h, even minor chassis vibrations are amplified, and small steering deviations can significantly impact safety. This product is engineered to deliver the precision and stability required at high speeds.
We work closely with a test fleet for real-world validation. This ball joint is made from high-strength, wear-resistant alloy steel specifically optimized for high-speed operation. The alloy composition is carefully balanced to maintain stability under centrifugal forces and high-frequency dynamic impacts. Its tensile strength exceeds 1000 MPa.
We use a precision hot forging process, where temperature control is critical. Excessive heat can cause grain coarsening and reduce strength, while insufficient heat may lead to poor material flow and internal defects. Through extensive testing, we established an optimal forging temperature range, resulting in a dense internal structure free of defects.
Rather than through-hardening the entire component, we apply a surface hardening treatment. The ball surface achieves a hardness above HRC 60 for superior wear resistance, while the core remains around HRC 30 to retain toughness. This "hard exterior, tough interior" structure effectively withstands the stresses of high-speed rotation.
To meet the thermal demands of high-speed operation, we developed a high-pressure sealing system using high-temperature-resistant materials. The seal maintains elasticity even at 150°C without hardening or cracking. A specialized lip design ensures consistent sealing pressure during high-speed rotation.
