The Long-Distance Commander for Wide Vehicles: Built for Long Wheelbases

At Huazhe, we refer to this offside suspension arm ball joint as the "long-distance commander" for wide vehicles. Designed specifically for the vehicle's offside suspension arm, it connects the offside suspension arm to the steering link. Its core function is to transmit steering forces reliably, allow multi-directional wheel movement, and coordinate the operation of the offside suspension and steering systems. It is specially adapted for the steering requirements of long-wheelbase, wide-body vehicles.

This product concept came from an MPV customer:

"My car has a long wheelbase and a large turning radius. The offside ball joint bears a lot of force and wears out quickly. Do you have something specifically designed for these vehicles?"

Based on this feedback, we developed this offside suspension arm ball joint.

High-Strength Alloy for Offside Loads: 880 MPa Tensile Strength

The joint is made from international standard high-strength alloy steel, tailored for the installation and load requirements of the offside suspension arm. Its tensile strength exceeds 880 MPa, providing excellent fatigue and wear resistance. It is designed for long-term, high-strength operation under offside steering forces and road impacts.

The main body is precision-forged, resulting in dense material and high structural strength. Forged blanks undergo flaw detection to ensure no internal defects, and dimensional consistency is strictly controlled to support subsequent finishing. The ball is precision-ground and high-temperature quenched, achieving optimal hardness and wear resistance. After finishing, the ball surface roughness is controlled to Ra 0.2 or less, ensuring smooth rotation with minimal play.

Specialized Adaptation for Long-Wheelbase Vehicles: Tested for Offside Loads

The surface receives a cationic electrophoretic coating, providing corrosion and rust protection. In salt spray testing, it lasts 48 hours without red rust. The joint precisely matches the offside suspension arm structure and installation dimensions, and it is specially engineered to handle offside steering forces. During development, we analyzed the suspension parameters of long-wheelbase, wide-body vehicles to ensure perfect fit and performance.

This offside suspension arm ball joint passed rigorous tests:

Fatigue test: 2.8 million reciprocating cycles with clearance change under 0.12 mm

Offset load test: simulating offside suspension forces, 10 minutes with no deformation or damage

Salt spray test: 48 hours with no red rust

It delivers reliable, long-lasting performance for the demanding conditions of long-wheelbase, wide-body vehicles.
