At Huazhe, we call this steering ball joint the "precision connector" of the steering system. It connects the steering link to the steering knuckle, with a specific function of transmitting steering force precisely and adjusting steering angles. Compared to ordinary ball joints, it prioritizes precision and smoothness of steering transmission.
The inspiration for this product came from a racing customer: "In race cars, every tiny movement of the steering wheel must be accurately transmitted to the wheels. There can't be any play. Ordinary joints won't work. We need precision-grade." In response, we developed this precision steering ball joint.


Ultra-Precision for Racing Standards: 0.03 mm Steering Play
This ball joint is made from high-strength, wear-resistant alloy material meeting international high-end standards. After rigorous screening and heat treatment, its tensile strength exceeds 950 MPa. Hardness, toughness, and wear resistance are all excellent. It also offers outstanding fatigue resistance, impact resistance, and corrosion resistance, meeting the high-frequency and high-load demands of racing steering systems.
The production process combines CNC precision machining and precision grinding techniques. All critical areas are completed in a single CNC setup to avoid cumulative errors from multiple setups. Product size precision is controlled within ±0.008 mm, achieving seamless fit between the ball joint, steering link, and steering knuckle. Optimized heat treatment ensures the ball surface hardness reaches HRC 60–63 for excellent wear resistance, while the core remains tough to absorb impacts.
Tested to Extreme Standards: 4 Million Cycles with Minimal Wear
The surface is treated with anti-corrosion and rust-resistant coating, paired with a specialized seal that prevents dust, moisture, and contaminants from entering. In salt spray tests, it lasts 96 hours without red rust. Steering play is extremely small, giving high transmission efficiency. Laboratory measurements show steering play controlled under 0.03 mm, one-third that of standard products, meaning every tiny movement of the steering wheel is accurately transmitted to the wheels.
